We are excited to share that our colleagues at MIC Construct have recently been awarded the “Best Subcontractor of the Month” title for January 2023 on the North Field Expansion Project (EPC2) in Ras Laffan, Qatar, by Samsung C&T. This reward highlights the outstanding performance of the team and their strict adherence to HSE requirements, showcasing their dedication to safety and quality.
Regarding the major rehabilitation works on the harbour quays, MIC Construct has also received other awards and acknowledgements, including the “Best Safety Campaign Booth Competition” for their Safety Bus exhibition, which presented concisely the risks present in their precast factory, in an original, educational and visually compelling way. Well done!
Our colleagues were also recognized for their participation in the “Project Safety Day 2023” in February 2023, and won the second place award for their excellent contribution to daily safety on site. This award now nudges the team to target the first place next year!
Finally, Qatar Gas and Samsung commended the team for their contribution to the project's milestone of 6 million and 10 million man-hours without LTI recorded. The team’s commitment to safety and quality is outstanding, and it has been reflected in their excellent safety score. They have completed 177 days of work without any incidents or accidents.

The North Field Expansion Project at the Port of Ras Laffan has been awarded by Qatar Gas and includes the construction and rehabilitation of four LNG loading berths and five dolphins.
