Launch of Lean In Circles for women: a space to connect and grow

Dear colleagues,

We’re pleased to announce the launch of a series of Lean In Circles, designed specifically for women across BESIX SA/NV in Belgium.

These circles are part of the Group’s broader efforts to foster an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone has the opportunity to grow and thrive.

In the construction sector, women often face distinct challenges, whether it’s navigating leadership pathways, balancing personal and professional life, or being heard in environments that remain largely male-dominated. With this in mind, a workgroup of female colleagues “BE One Team” and People, with the support of the Executive Committee, is launching dedicated, peer-led groups for women to come together, share experiences, expand their internal network and connections and support one another in a space built on trust and mutual respect.

Structured as small, peer-led circles, Lean In groups provide a supportive environment for women to reflect on the topics that matter most to them, develop skills, and strengthen their voice. The circles are inspired by the global Lean In movement and have already proven valuable for our colleagues at BESIX Watpac.

This first round of circles, expected in Q3 2025, will be offered on a small scale to gauge interest and adapt as needed.

To help everyone understand the initiative and its purpose, a Smart Coffee session will be held on 17 June, open to all staff. It’s an opportunity to learn more, ask questions, and hear from the team behind the launch.

Thank you for your continued openness and support in building a workplace where every colleague can feel seen, supported, and empowered.
