Dear colleagues,

On 25 May 2025, as part of the Open Sites Day, you will have the unique opportunity to visit several of our construction sites. This is not just a chance to see the impressive work being done by our teams, but also an opportunity to connect with your colleagues, offer them support, and gain insights into their projects. We warmly invite you to take part and to bring family and/or friends with you, if you can!

These are the sites that will be open for visits:

Beverentunnel - BESIX, BESIX Infra & BESIX Unitec

Opened by BESIX, BESIX Infra, and BESIX Unitec, the Beverentunnel project is a comprehensive renovation of one of the most crucial traffic arteries in the Antwerp port area. In March 2025, the first tunnel tube in the direction of Ghent was completed and the teams are now working on the second tube towards the Netherlands. During Open Sites Day, you’ll be given an exclusive look behind the scenes of the renovation. A bus will take you inside the tunnel where you will be able to exit and get up close and personal with the tunnel. Registration is mandatory! For more info, visit the Open Sites Day website.

Scheldt Tunnel on Left Bank, Antwerp - BESIX & BESIX Infra

As part of the JV COTU, BESIX and BESIX Infra are opening the site of the Scheldt Tunnel on Left Bank, Antwerp. Visitors will be able to see the newly finished entry to the tunnel, walk through part of the tunnel, gain more information about the dredging works and about the upcoming transport and sinking of the tunnel elements. No registration required. More information can be found here.

Bypass ROCO, Antwerp - BESIX & BESIX Infra

As part of JV ROCO, BESIX and BESIX Infra are opening the bypass of the ROCO-project. The bypass is a temporary highway, built to replace the viaduct of Merksem during demolition works. During your visit, you’ll be invited to walk along part of the bypass, where you’ll discover more about the different Oosterweel sites, such as the Channel Tunnels and the sunken Ring road. A truly unique opportunity to visit this enormous site and witness the scale of JV ROCO’s works! No registration required. Visit the website of Open Sites Day for more information.

Grand Théâtre de Verviers - Wust

Opened by Wust, the Grand Théâtre de Verviers is undergoing a remarkable renovation. This historic site is being restored to its former glory while incorporating modern amenities. Open Sites Day visitors will be able to see what finished modern structural works look like in a building from 1892. Registration is mandatory and can be done here. You’ll need to be quick because the slots are filling up fast. Visit the webpage of this site here.

Hall sportif de la Spetz - Cobelba

Cobelba is proud to open the Hall sportif de la Spetz in Arlon, where they are doing an exhaustive renovation as well as building an extension. Visitors will be able to see the progress of this important building for the community. No registration required. More information can be found here.

We encourage all employees to take advantage of this Open Sites Day to visit these sites, engage with your colleagues, and show your support for their hard work and dedication. Let's come together to celebrate our achievements and the incredible projects that make BESIX Group a leader in the construction industry.

We look forward to seeing you there!
