BESIX Group launches its whistleblower procedure

Group 1 min read

The EU Whistleblower Directive establishes rules and procedures to protect whistleblowers, i.e. people who report information obtained in a professional context about violations of EU law in key policy areas. Violations include both illegal acts or negligence and abuse. They will also be able to ask for help and report malpractice more easily.

Whistleblowers play a key role in exposing and preventing such breaches. Potential whistleblowers are often discouraged from reporting their concerns or suspicions for fear of retaliation. In this context, the importance of providing balanced and effective whistleblower protection is increasingly acknowledged at both EU and international level.

The BESIX Group complies with the EU Directive (2019/1937), and wants the elements of the Directive to be applied in the same way, and according to the Collective Labour Agreement in the BESIX Group European Works Council on the protection of whistleblowers, to all Group companies, both in Belgium and in Europe.

BESIX Group encourages whistleblowers to report alerts to one of its whistleblowing channels. You will find all information on the BESIX Group whistleblower policy and the Collective Labour agreement in the BESIX Group European Works Council on the protection of whistleblowers on this page.
