Our colleagues of BESIX Belgium-Luxembourg regularly organise their so-called Technical Office Meetings, aimed at bringing together technical office engineers and technical staff for a valuable session of learning, inspiration, and knowledge sharing. These gatherings are the perfect opportunity for technical consultation and networking.
The first Technical Office Meeting took place last year, and recently, we successfully hosted the third one. Each meeting features a programme that includes a site visit and technical presentations by colleagues, offering participants valuable insights into ongoing projects and the chance to gain new perspectives.
For example, the agenda of the most recent Technical Office Meeting included a tour of BESIX Steel & Formwork in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, led by manager Dirk Stevens, followed by a visit to our S.M.D. (our equipment and material service) with Senior Plant Manager François Campus. This was a unique opportunity for many, even seasoned colleagues, to explore these sites.
Additionally, attendees received a presentation from our foundation specialist, Franki Foundations, on their services and team capabilities. Nick Loosen discussed the role of work planners in contract management, and the French-language session included a retrospective on the UCB site in Braine l'Alleud.
Technical Office Meetings are an ideal occasion for colleagues, who usually focus on their own projects, to exchange experiences and strengthen their networks. The high attendance at these events demonstrates their value. Here’s to the continued success of our Technical Office Meetings!
