A Revised Governance for BESIX Group

Dear colleagues,

In recent decades, our group has experienced substantial growth. This has prompted a critical evaluation of our governance model to ensure it remains effective and aligned with our ambitions. To this end, a comprehensive review process has been conducted in 2023, including holding interviews with key stakeholders and performing benchmark analyses against industry standards.

The findings of this review process have led us to redefine our operational framework, aiming for enhanced operational ownership and clearer decision-making processes. This includes reviewing the boundaries of autonomy and establishing appropriate operating rules to ensure decisions are made at the most effective levels within our organisation and in a defined framework.

In order to manage decisions and risks at the appropriate level, our existing governing bodies and their specific responsibilities have been reviewed. Some of them remain unchanged, others see a shift in responsibilities and some new bodies will be created.
