4PS: tests successfully executed, pilots planned as from April

Remind me what’s 4PS?

As you may already know, 4PS is the complete, all-in-one programme that allows actors of a project to manage the main processes in real time, in a single tool. At any moment during the life-cycle of a project (tender, estimation, design, execution, maintenance...), the platform allows to follow processes such as budget, purchases, expenses, accounting, invoicing...

Its advantage is that it is all-in-one and offers a clear vision of projects in real time, via a single consolidated source. No more juggling with numerous Excel tables, nor working with an outdated version of AX: 4PS is the single source of information to make our project tracking more efficient.

Has anyone tested it already?

4PS was introduced at BESIX SA/NV in June 2021 and has since been parameterised and tested by a large group of key users to ensure that it perfectly matches the company's needs. Last December, integrated tests, i.e. tests on complete processes, were carried out successfully. More than 100 scenarios were tested by the expert community coming from both Operations and Finance.

So what’s next?

The success of these tests brings us to the next level: the implementation of the tool on current projects. In April, the real estate project 'De Molens' in Deinze (construction of around 100 quality flats); the renovation of a quay wall in Schoten; and two projects yet to be identified in the Tender and Engineering departments, will all be managed via 4PS. Once these pilots have been launched and are well underway, the implementation of 4PS on all projects of BESIX SA/NV in Belgium will be on the agenda.

Gear up!

  • In the meantime, the 4PS project team will continue to test and fine-tune the programme, thanks to the feedback and suggestions from key users.
  • In parallel, extensive training sessions will be launched to familiarise future users with the tool. If you are part of the users’ group, you will receive an invitation as from end of March to attend these training sessions. Make sure you book your agenda when you receive the invitation, as the smooth running of this tool will also depend on your mastery of it.
  • Can’t wait to know more? There’s a Smart Coffee session about 4PS planned on 22 March for anyone interested. Registration as usual via Metrilio.

Thank you to everyone, project team, testers, future users: without your commitment, this project would not be a success!
