Dear Colleagues,
We regret to announce the passing of Dirk Bourlon, a dear member of the BESIX family, aged 69.
Dirk joined our Group in 1976 as a Design Engineer and worked for BESIX in many countries from Belgium to Egypt, from Cameroon to Morocco, and in the Emirates. He contributed to many of our emblematic projects, in which he was often a key figure for the design, as well as a reliable and competent role-model for his colleagues.
He worked for BESIX Group up until his retirement in 2012 and finished his career as Director Engineering. Throughout the years, Dirk never tired to pass on his knowledge and experience, by training and mentoring younger design engineers.
BESIX Group extends its sincere condolences to Dirk's family and loved ones, as well as to all his former colleagues, many of whom were also friends, who have built found memories with him around the world.
