Building excellence: ISO certification surveillance audit passed with flying colours!

Group 2 min read

We are thrilled to share some fantastic news. On June 6th, the Third-Party Certification Body, SGS, delivered an outstanding announcement: BESIX Contracting activities have successfully maintained their certification against the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Standards (*). These internationally recognised standards help organisations like ours enhance performance, manage risks, meet legal requirements, and build trust with customers, stakeholders, and employees.

This remarkable achievement is a direct result of the unwavering dedication and exceptional performance of the colleagues throughout the rigorous audits conducted over the past few months. Whether it was on projects in Europe, the Middle East, or internationally, or at Head Offices in Brussels and Dubai, their commitment and professionalism shone through.

The IMs team and QHSE team extend their heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of the staff members involved for their collaboration and professionalism throughout the entire process.

In a nutshell, the SGS Auditors have acknowledged our excellence in their preliminary report:

  • No major or minor non-conformities were found,
  • Several opportunities for improvement were identified,
  • And an abundance of positive observations were noted!

Moving forward, the IMs and QHSE teams will be working closely with all relevant stakeholders to thoroughly analyse and develop an action plan to capitalise on the identified opportunities for improvement.

While this surveillance audit was an important step, the real highlight awaits us next year: the full recertification audit. To ensure we are fully prepared for this milestone, a comprehensive review and alignment of our IMs will be performed.

Let us continue to prioritise continual improvement and strive together towards Operational Excellence. The exemplary leadership exercised on site, coupled with our experienced, motivated, and competent personnel, have set the bar high for success.

‘The certificates and IMs procedures can be found in the IMs Library.

Congratulations and thank you!
