Week of 20 January
1. When the sun sets at Triangle (France)
We received this stunning picture of the Triangle project at sunset! Our BESIX France team is constructing this 180-metre-high building, designed by Herzog & De Meuron, in Paris near the Expo Porte de Versailles. The structural work has now reached the 16th and 17th floors, making the high-rise a notable addition to the Parisian skyline. Impressive!

2. A year’s difference at Rail Baltica’s Riga Central Station (Latvia)
Last week, we showed you the incredible progress our team in Copenhagen made on the Nordhavn tunnel in the past year. This week, we move slightly further east to Riga, where the BERERIX joint venture is advancing on the Rail Baltica Riga Central Station project. It includes a new central station building, railway embankment and track works, as well as a new railway bridge over the river Daugava. At this time last year, construction on the bridge had yet to commence (first picture), but now, the initial segment is clearly taking form! Well done, team Latvia!
3. New electrical equipment alert in Belgium and the Netherlands
Our teams at the Material Service in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw (Belgium) have invested in some new electrical equipment. You might already be familiar with the Sennebogen crawler crane (second picture), which was previously used at the A16 project in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and is now aiding the construction of the Oosterweel link’s Bypass in Antwerp, Belgium.
Additionally, the team now boasts a brand new Magni telehandler (first picture), which is fully electric. And they have introduced their first electric worksite vehicles: a Volkswagen ID Buzz Cargo and a Peugeot Rifter 5-seater (third picture).
However, our colleagues in Sint-Pieter-Leeuw are not the only ones who invested in new electrical equipment. BESIX Infra Nederland as well started using their brand new zero-emission mini excavator. This addition enhances their zero-emission fleet and reinforces their commitment to sustainability. Keep up the good work, colleagues!

4. BESIX RED’s project Matisse 16 Living launched (Belgium)
Last week, BESIX RED launched the commercialisation of appartments in its new real estate project Matisse 16 Living. Matisse is a new residential development that mixes sustainability, excellent connectivity, and contemporary urban living. Ideally situated between the European institutions and NATO headquarters in Evere (Belgium), it provides easy access to Brussels Airport. The project includes 156 residential units equipped with various energy-efficient systems. Additionally, a private landscaped garden will be established at its centre. Looking forward to seeing this marvel take shape!

And then this... BESIX entities in the Netherlands shine at InfraTech 2025
Between 14 January and 17 January, the InfraTech event was held in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Naturally, our Dutch colleagues seized this opportunity to showcase their expertise, with four of our Dutch entities in attendance: BESIX NL, BESIX Infra Nederland, BESIX Unitec Nederland and Franki Grondtechnieken.
InfraTech is the leading event for professionals in the infrastructure sector. It serves as a knowledge platform where you can network with other experts and explore the latest developments and innovations in the sector.
