Week of 17 August
1. Safety starts with a walk at Guggenheim Abu Dhabi (UAE)
A construction site tells its story through the details. During a recent safety walk at the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi project, our CEO of BESIX Group Pierre Sironval joined General Manager of BESIX Middle East Peter Lembrechts and COO of BESIX Middle East Bram Gruwez to spend time with the teams on site and discuss one topic that always comes first: safety. These visits are an opportunity to see progress up close, exchange ideas and reinforce the behaviours that help everyone work safely every day. Thank you to all colleagues whose commitment keeps safety visible in every decision and every task.
2. One last look at the renewed A73 (The Netherlands)
Thousands of motorists now drive across it every day, often without realising the scale of the effort behind the scenes. The major maintenance works on the A73 between Venlo and Echt may be completed, but the achievement deserves one final glance in the rear-view mirror. Together with Rijkswaterstaat, our partners and hundreds of colleagues, our teams at BESIX Infra Nederland worked around the clock to renew a vital stretch of motorway. The result is visible every day in smoother journeys and a renewed road surface serving road users across the region. A big thank you to everyone who contributed their expertise to bring the project across the finish line.
3. A greener future taking shape in Mol (Belgium)
Behind the construction fences at Campus De Hutten in Mol, something far more important than new buildings is taking shape. Our colleagues at Vanhout are helping create an environment where young people facing difficult circumstances can rebuild their future. Across the institution's two campuses, 121 young people can receive guidance and support as part of their integration journey. To help fulfil that mission, the site is being expanded, modernised and transformed into a greener, more welcoming place.
The project began with the construction of new residential facilities, sports infrastructure and classrooms, followed by the extensive renovation of the reception building, new office facilities and a car park. As the works move towards completion, the original ambition is becoming reality: a modern campus designed around the needs of young people and the professionals who support them every day.

4. Discover our new office in Ghent (Belgium)
A new office is about creating a place where people can connect, exchange ideas and enjoy working together. Following the move to a central location in Ghent, our colleagues can now settle into a bright and welcoming 900 m² workspace that combines elements of our construction heritage with sustainable materials. The new office has been designed with collaboration and inspiration in mind, offering an environment where teams can meet, share knowledge and develop new ideas. It is a space that reflects who we are today while supporting the way we want to work tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who helped bring the project to life. If you have not visited yet, this is your chance to take a look at the images.
