Winter Training 2026: learning together, stronger together

Group 1 min read

The winter training programmes have come to an end, making this a good moment to look back. As with many of our entities, BESIX also used these sessions to focus on what truly matters: safety on our construction sites and of our workers.

During the 2026 winter training, learning together was at the heart of the programme. Interactive workshops provided space for exchange, feedback and reflection, with particular attention to safety, ergonomics and taking care of the body. Stepping away from the daily pressures of the site offered a valuable opportunity to share experiences, build skills and return to the construction site stronger together.

The focus was clear: working safely, together. By continuing to invest in practical, hands‑on training, we strengthen competencies and further sharpen safety awareness. This helps ensure that everyone can return home safely and in good health every day.

That commitment is also reflected in the figures. During the winter training months, our workers completed more than 1,300 hours of training together. A strong collective effort, supported by close collaboration between Training, People Managers, prevention advisers, Operation Managers and project managers, and with the valued support of our partners.
