Our colleagues in the Middle East are progressing across their various projects in the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Below you can find a glimpse of the latest highlights.

In Doha, Qatar, the façade end works at the Lusail Towers’ podium are starting to take shape. The teams are installing glass reinforced plastic on the roofs, and finalisation of the courtyard ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) panels is underway. Landscape works are picking up as well, with tiling ongoing in the courtyard.

Further north in Qatar, in Ras Laffan, the teams working on the North Field Expansion Project are simultaneously progressing on several fronts. For instance, they are currently placing armour rock along the shorelines and structures at berths 8 and 9. This will prevent erosion caused by water forces such as currents and waves.

In Saudi Arabia, site mobilisation for the Oxagon project is proceeding according to plan. Existing teams and equipment are working at full speed, with excavation works in the Marine Service Hub already ongoing, among other things. They’re looking forward to commencing pile drilling very soon!

Onto Abu Dhabi, where BESIX Middle East is making significant progress on two iconic museums. At the Guggenheim Museum, the teams are on the verge of completing the steel structure and kicked off the marine works. Just a stone’s throw away, our colleagues working on the Zayed National Museum reached a significant milestone, as the façade and entrance mock-ups were approved by the client!

Also in Abu Dhabi, the construction of the three Zayed City Schools is progressing according to the established timeline and the teams have started to focus on the handing-over process. The project is an example in terms of safety and is on track to achieve 3 million manhours of work without lost-time injuries by the end of this month. Bravo!

Lastly, two projects in Dubai are remarkably advancing. Firstly, the Dubai Uptown Tower project has reached the exciting completion rate of 99.9 %! All hotel areas are now operational and the occupation of office floors continues to increase. For the residential floors, our teams are in full de-snagging mode with 19 out of 25 floors already being handed over to the client's sales team.

Lastly, the Dubai Waste-to-Energy project is celebrating a very exciting milestone this month as the fifth and last line becomes operational. Municipal waste is being delivered around the clock, with an average daily delivery of 3,400 tonnes. Impressive!

Again, this is just a glimpse of the incredible work of our colleagues in the Middle East. If you're eager to learn more and dive deeper into these projects’ developments, you can find the complete update here.

Congratulations to all the BESIX Middle East teams with the outstanding progress they’re making on each of these projects. We are looking forward to the next update.
Keep up the good work!
