Stéphane Bres, Chief Procurement Officer, will pursue his career outside BESIX Group and will leave as of end of May.
As initiator and strong ally of the project Procurement 2.0, Stéphane got the project off the ground and strengthened the Group’s Procurement capabilities in the challenging contracting market, and drove long-term development of negotiation and procurement skills among the group’s Procurement staff.
Thanks to Séphane’s and his team’s efforts, BESIX Group also enhanced its strategic vision of supplier management, and supported effectively the various businesses and projects during bid phase and execution.
“Strategic and operational procurement know-how is crucial for the whole group to enhance our material sourcing capabilities even further. Therefore we are actively looking for his replacement to pursue the next phase of the BESIX Group Procurement approach. In the meantime, François Lhomme, and Koen De Mey are taking over. Francois keeps supporting our operations in Middle East and Africa, and Koen keeps supporting our European operations and our ongoing or future projects in the Americas. Their mission is to keep driving procurement synergies across the organisation to deliver greater value for the company.”
The search for his replacement is currently ongoing. Internal candidates are heartily welcome to inform People if they are interested to apply.
Please join me in thanking Stephane for having a key role in in structuring and modernizing the Procurement function and building strategic supplier partnerships. We wish him all the best in his future career.
