A stronger position among the world’s leading international contractors

Engineering News-Record (ENR), one of the construction industry's leading international publications, has published its 2026 Top 250 International Contractors ranking. BESIX Group has climbed from 48th to 44th place, confirming the strength of its international operations and its continued ability to deliver complex projects across diverse markets.

The annual ranking measures construction revenue generated outside a company's home country and is widely regarded as one of the sector’s most important international benchmarks. This year's edition reflects a resilient global construction market, with the 250 ranked contractors reporting a combined international revenue of USD 550.6 billion, an increase of 9.7% compared with the previous year.

Infrastructure investment continues to drive opportunities

As part of ENR’s market analysis, BESIX Group CEO Pierre Sironval shared his view on current market dynamics and future opportunities: “Across Europe, we continue to see strong demand for mobility infrastructure. Governments are investing in projects that improve connectivity and reduce congestion.”

His comments were featured in ENR’s overview of the international contracting market, which highlights how infrastructure investment continues to support growth despite geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain challenges and cost volatility.
