The Top Employers Institute, a renowned authority in recognising excellence in HR and people practices, has awarded BESIX Group* the Belgian Top Employer certification for a remarkable fifth time in a row! This recognition is a huge accomplishment and a reward for the hard work and dedication of our entire BESIX team.
This time we scored a fantastic 90.92 % overall, even higher than last year’s score and above the benchmark. This is also the highest score since we launched this external measurement several years ago. And for the first time this year, BESIX Netherlands also participated and reached a very encouraging score of 78 %!
The label was awarded after an in-depth survey of BESIX’s HR and people practices, covering six HR domains and consisting of 20 topics including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Wellbeing, and more. At BESIX, our culture is built on our purpose, values, behaviours, and how we all live by them. The certification recognises the positive work culture we have created, where everyone works together to achieve our goal of creating sustainable solutions for a better world. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and safe working environment where everyone has exciting development opportunities and can bring their diverse experiences, skillsets, and ideas. This award belongs to all of us. Collectively, we are building the company culture that earned us this recognition.
Following last year’s results, we sharpened our focus on inclusion & diversity to excel even more in this domain and make our differences our strength! #Bettertogether. Our hard work has paid off as this is the domain where we improved the most.
For 2024, the People Department has already set some targets to steer all the BESIX team’s efforts in:

- focusing on leadership & culture
- taking action on ESG
- taking action on performance management and feedback
