At BESIX, safety is one of our top priorities, anywhere in the world! This was proven once again by one of our teams, and this time by our colleagues in Qatar who recently won several accolades.
During the Qatar Energy LNG Annual Safety Day Summit, our colleagues active on the North Field Extension project in the port of Ras Laffan, received the Outstanding Performance Award, underscoring their collective commitment to the highest safety standards.
The SHES (Safety, Health, Environment, and Security) team drew attention to their efforts by highlighting both the risks of their work and a retrospective of the year's achievements. The team earned the Runner Up title in the ‘Booth Creativity competition’, thanks to their engaging and interactive safety booth.
Some people were personally honoured to recognise their contribution and dedication to safety. Such as, Dirk Maesschalk for his Exceptional Contribution to Safety, and Bikash Roy awarded for the Best Good Catch, recognizing his keen observation and reporting of a worn lifebuoy. A critical contribution to our safety protocols! Additional recognitions included Gurvinder Singh, Paviter Singh, Abdur Rehman, and bus captain Mohamed Sarajul Baitha.
In a high-risk industry like ours, safety is always our priority. We are therefore very proud of these achievements reflecting the QNF team's unwavering dedication to safety and their collective effort to maintain the highest standards.
Congratulations to our colleagues in Qatar for setting an outstanding example of excellence in terms of safety!
