Dear colleagues,
As of January 2026, BESIX IT will take an important step forward in how we operate. We are implementing a matrix operating model, a structure that brings together central expertise and local engagement to deliver IT services faster, more consistently, and in closer alignment with our business needs.
This evolution will also help us strengthen governance and collaboration across regions, ensuring that we truly operate as One BESIX IT.
As part of this transition, several colleagues are taking on new or expanded responsibilities:
- Bernard Linotte will become Service Desk Coordinator, succeeding Bilal Abdellati, while continuing his role as Service Delivery Manager for Wust, Socogetra, Jacques Delens, Franki Foundations, and LuxTP. Additionally, he will be responsible for aligning our Service Desk operations with those of our team in the Middle East, supporting the goal of becoming One BESIX IT.
Bilal Abdellati will assume the position of Service Delivery Manager for BESIX, BESIX Infra & Unitec, Vanhout, and Flamant, taking over from Bert Michiels. - Tim Dumez will assume the role of Project Manager for Base Services, joining the team of Steven Verstraeten. Their team will also be reinforced by our colleagues in the Middle East. Welcome to the team!
- Hasan Kart joins the Modern Workplace team alongside Marius Buftea, who we are happy to welcome as a BESIX employee as from now.
Michael Vandevoort and Wim Cools will also reinforce the Modern Workplace team to further professionalize IT enablement on sites.
Tim Muermans will lead the Modern Workplace team and streamline its operations with our colleagues in the Middle East. - Bert Michiels will transition into a new role within our Project Portfolio Office, helping to shape the way we prioritize and manage IT projects across the group. He will work closely with Tim Dumez, Igaal Perez, and Steven Robben (BESIX Infra Support) to ensure that our project portfolio management is robust and aligned with our strategic objectives.
- In line with the strategic priority of BESIX Group to embrace digital solutions as the key to optimising performance, streamlining processes and maintaining our competitive edge as a highly valued partner, we are creating a new Development team. This team will focus on integrating and optimising Agentic AI tools and on further developing Microsoft Power Platform at BESIX Group. Kristof Vandenbogaerde has been appointed to lead it.
Please join me in congratulating our colleagues on their new roles!
It’s important to note that day-to-day IT support remains unchanged. Your usual contacts, support queues, and escalation paths continue to operate as before. Any process adjustments will be communicated clearly and in advance.
These changes are designed to make our IT organization more agile and better connected, ensuring that we deliver value to the business while maintaining the high standards of service and safety that define BESIX Group.
Thank you for your continued commitment and adaptability as we move forward.
