1. Guess the project
We’ve received a striking aerial photo of a 180-metre landmark under construction by BESIX. It will be the city’s first major high-rise of the 21st century and encompasses premium offices, a 4-star Radisson Blu hotel and retail, with a panoramic viewing deck and restaurant at the top. 2. Topping-out of South Australia’s first Crystalbrook hotel (Australia)
Great news from our BESIX Watpac colleagues. Just before the year end, they celebrated the topping‑out of Crystalbrook Sam, the very first Crystalbrook hotel in South Australia. The 12‑storey building will offer 196 rooms, a restaurant, spa and gym, and is set to bring a fresh touch of sophistication to the city. Thanks to the team’s strong focus on productivity and efficiency, the project is firmly on track for its planned opening late this year. 3. Five years of progress in Latvia
It’s great to look back at how far the BERERIX team has come in Riga! From an empty site to installing the roof cladding, the past five years have brought steady, visible progress on the Rail Baltica Riga Central Station project. Alongside the station itself, the team is also building a new railway bridge over the Daugava River and carrying out extensive track works as part of the wider Rail Baltica programme, which will connect the Baltic States to the European railway network. Bravo, team!
4. Snowy weather at Lambermont Viaduct (Belgium)
Last week, heavy snowfall briefly turned several of our Belgian sites into a winter scene, including the Lambermont Viaduct in Verviers. Our team is rehabilitating this important piece of infrastructure to improve its safety and durability. Works include repairing the deck slab, replacing expansion joints, installing guardrails with noise barriers and widening the viaduct to create broader emergency stopping lanes. Although the team had to pause operations for a short while, the snow has now cleared and they are back on track. Keep up the good work, team!

Great news from Belgium: BESIX Unitec has been nominated by Trends Gazellen in the Large Companies category for the province of Antwerp. The award recognises organisations that have grown in a healthy and sustainable way over recent years. This nomination is a tribute to the daily commitment of all colleagues. Congratulations, BESIX Unitec!
