Week of 27 February
1. 28 April 2023: Global Safety Time Out
Save this important date in your calendar!
This is a day where BESIX employees hold a time-out moment to reflect, learn and talk about safety... even more than usual. This year it will be dedicated to the BE SAFE principles for on-site staff and to the reduction of stress for office staff.
2. A+++ for BESIX NL
In a recent assessment, the BESIX NL head office in Dordrecht, which has been built by BESIX, received once again the energy label A+++ on its actual measured energy consumption. With this result, it already meets the Paris-proof targets set by the Dutch government for 2030.
It is the pioneering software developed by start-up Aug.e, which is partly owned by BESIX, which monitors the building’s energy flows and steers the stationary battery and the 44 sockets for electric vehicles.
Congratulations to BESIX NL and Aug.e on this renewed achievement!
3. Training time at BESIX Unitec (Belgium)
From 1 to 15 February BESIX Unitec organised their yearly blue collar winter trainings. An ideal moment to focus on safety awareness, but also to tackle several other major topics. On the agenda this year: a training session on working at height, a first aid course with a special focus on wound care, a workshop on equipment and fleet, and one on digitalisation.
Great initiative from our colleagues for better and safer working conditions!
4. Delivery of new offices for Simac ICT Belgium by Vanhout
Three weeks ago, our colleagues at Vanhout delivered the new head offices they built for Simac ICT Belgium.
The company’s 140 staff will soon be able to enjoy their new sustainable work surroundings, which feature a 3-level office building, including underground parking, and a 300 m² warehouse.
Congrats to our colleagues at Vanhout for this fine building!
And then this...
A few weeks ago we reported on the inauguration of the breath-taking ‘Icône’ building in Belval by BESIX RED, BESIX, and LuxTP. You want to have a closer look at the inside of the building? Then watch this drone video!
