Wust–Cobelba merger: a new step to strengthen our presence in Wallonia

Group 1 min read

The merger between Wust and Cobelba, effective since 1 January 2026, marks a natural evolution for two entities that have been working hand in hand for several years. Since Wust became the 100% shareholder of Cobelba in 2018, collaboration has increased both on construction sites and in offices. This union formalises a reality already lived daily: the sharing of expertise, resources and know‑how.

Why this merger?

This integration strengthens our positioning in Wallonia, Belgium. By joining forces, the two companies gain flexibility, intervention capacity and a broader diversity of projects. It also results in a clearer organisation: a unified administrative structure, shared services and simplified management. This change involves no job losses and preserves what is central to both entities’ DNA: proximity. Local anchoring, existing teams and traditions remain in place.

One name, a larger team

After evaluating several options, one choice became evident: adopting the name Wust. Already well established and recognised in Wallonia, it will help strengthen the visibility of the whole while respecting each entity’s identity. Thanks to this merger, teams will benefit from broader support, additional reinforcement when needed, and new development opportunities.

This merger opens the door to new challenges, larger projects and a shared ambition: to continue building, together, the landscapes of tomorrow.
