Every year, BESIX Foundation and the Health & Safety teams around the globe organise a campaign to raise awareness for the World CleanUp Day, a yearly international event to combat the global solid waste problem.
A global effort
Last week, over 5,500 BESIX participants worldwide rolled up their sleeves to clean the public spaces around their sites and offices together. It was not only an opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment but also a chance to bond with colleagues. The collective effort yielded impressive results - a staggering 10 tons of litter were collected! This achievement surpassed last year's record, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all those involved.
First time in South America!
We would like to express our special thanks to the team at Portonave in Brazil for organising the first-ever CleanUp Day in South America. Thanks to their participation, they made this global movement geographically inclusive - with teams active in Australia, Africa, GCC, Europe... and South America.
