The SDG Trajectory
The SDG Trajectory is a programme that recognises and celebrates organisations making significant progress towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme has three levels: Pioneer, Champion, and Ambassador.
Our Journey as an SDG Pioneer
Receiving the SDG Pioneer award is a testament to our commitment to sustainability. It recognises our initial steps towards integrating the SDGs into our operations. This achievement is a direct result of our hard work and dedication.
Each of you has contributed to this award: from participating in SDG workshops to supporting specific SDGs in your daily role, your efforts have been invaluable.
What is CIFAL-UNITAR?
CIFAL-UNITAR is a global network of SDG training centres that supports sustainable development by building the capacity of local governments, businesses, and civil society organisations. BESIX Group has been a proud member of this network since 2023. The CIFAL-UNITAR SDG Trajectory is categorised into three levels:
- SDG Pioneer: awarded to organisations that have demonstrated a strong commitment to the SDGs and have taken initial steps towards integrating them into their operations.
- SDG Champion: given to organisations that strive for true transition, and which sustainability policy contributes to the systemic change needed to fulfil the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
- SDG Ambassador: this is the highest level of recognition and is awarded to organisations that have fully integrated the SDGs into their core business and are serving as role models for others.
Looking Ahead
Now that we have achieved the SDG Pioneer status, our next goal is to move up to Champion level. Together, we can continue to make a positive impact and contribute to a more sustainable world.
