Dear colleagues,
We are happy to announce that Lode Schildermans has been appointed the role of MEP Operations Manager as from September 15, 2022. He will be reporting to Jan Van Steirteghem, General Manager Business Unit Europe. With this appointment, Lode partly takes over the tasks of Angelo Di Martino, who retired recently after an impressive career of 25 years at BESIX.
Lode is currently working as M&E Project Manager for BESIX Belgium-Luxembourg. He joined our group in 2016 after an extensive external career at companies like Sweco, MIVB and CFE. Lode holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and is strengthened by 25 years of experience in our sector.
In his new role, Lode will ensure the liaison between the MEP disciplines and all other trades across all contracting activities in order to improve overall results of BU Europe. He will work in close collaboration with the operations managers from BU Europe. He will also actively assist the tendering and site teams with reviewing potential solutions and suppliers. All MEP operational staff at BU Europe will have a reporting line to him.
Lode will be working with 3 major internal partners :
- MEP Engineering, led by Adriatik Qerimani, reporting to Fabian Boucher. Together with Adriatik, Lode will assist in the review and proposal of design solutions for MEP installations.
- MEP Procurement, led by Sebastiano Marchi, reporting to Koen De Mey. Together they will coordinate the knowledge of the supplier landscape and evaluate the execution of their offers to improve future purchase requests.
- MEP Tender, led by Thomas Krzanik, reporting to Oliver Vanderkerken. He can count on the insights of Lode and his team, to review offers of suppliers to find best price solution for at hand tenders.
Our MEP landscape will continue to require the partnership between all disciplines. We will support Lode and his team to the fullest and we wish Lode all the best for this new step in his career.
