We are pleased to announce that Koen De Mey, currently Adjunct Director BESIX Nederland, has taken the challenge to become the first Procurement Director Europe, starting on December 1st, 2019, reporting to Stéphane Bres, Chief Procurement Officer.
After having worked on the realisation of several BESIX projects, from Koningstunnel to Sluizen Limburg, for 16 years, Koen has been the Adjunct Directeur BESIX Nederland for 5 years now. During his tenure, he mainly focused on synergies in operational works, setting-up successful and motivated teams and finding creative solutions to complex issues.
Koen has decided to join the exciting & ambitious new Procurement organisation and is now taking the role of Procurement director Europe, reporting directly to Stéphane Bres.
He will ensure the lead of the Procurement organisation within Europe, covering BESIX Europe, BESIX International and the Regional entities in Europe.
Koen will bring significant operational experience at BESIX as well as knowledge in Business management to ensure proper implementation of the Procurement 2.0 program, in line with the Group's ambition on procurement, and the development of the Procurement function in the European region.
