BESIX: triple nomination at the MIPIM Awards!

Group 1 min read

On March 16th, the MIPIM Awards will take place in Cannes, during an event entirely dedicated to the real estate sector. This prestigious event is a unique opportunity to celebrate the most useful, sustainable and innovative projects in the real estate sector worldwide.

This year, three Group projects have been nominated among the 43 finalists. This exceptional triple nomination is a great source of pride for BESIX.

BESIX has been nominated in the categories "Best residential project" and "Best alternative project" for three of its outstanding achievements. The projects in question are "Sluishuis" in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), "Collegium" in Zottegem (Belgium) and "Deloitte University EMEA" in Bailly-Romainvilliers in France.

In the category of best residential projects:

1. Sluishuis (Amsterdam, The Netherlands)

With its unique architectural design, this beautiful residential building seems to float on water. Built by BESIX Netherlands and developed by BESIX RED, this infrastructure is not only breathtaking, but also energy efficient. Indeed, sustainability is at the heart of this project. The panoramic promenade, the walking path and the gardens offer a unique setting for the inhabitants of Sluishuis.

2. Collegium (Zottegem, Belgium)

This former college in Zottegem has been completely renovated into spacious, modern and bright apartments. The new apartments are located in a green setting, around a beautiful courtyard. Our subsidiary Vanhout was responsible for bringing this historic building, which had been unused for years, back to life.

In the category of best alternative projects:

3. Deloitte University EMEA (Bailly-Romainvilliers, France)

After only 20 months of construction, the new training centre, Deloitte University EMEA, was built in Bailly-Romainvilliers, east of Paris. A magnificent project designed by BESIX France, with the objective of obtaining five top environmental certifications, including the validation of "Biodiversity Excellent" and "BREEAM Excellent". Another challenge taken up.

These nominations demonstrate our commitment to quality, sustainability and innovation in all our projects. We are proud to be able to share these achievements with you and to continue building a more sustainable future for all. It also shows the strength of the group when it is united.

Until the awards ceremony in March, we wish the nominees good luck and congratulate once again the teams who took part in the projects.
