We are excited to announce that we have secured three Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contracts, setting a pioneering precedent in the Middle East construction industry.

Under these paid ECI contracts, we will engage exclusively with our clients to enhance the project's design and constructability. The culmination of this initial phase is expected to seamlessly transition into full-fledged Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts. This innovative model is part of BESIX Middle East’s renewed procurement strategy to secure projects while reducing project risks through close collaboration during the initial design phase and thorough assessment of best-suited suppliers and subcontractors.

Here's a brief overview of the awarded ECI contracts:

Plot 42 - Iconic Residential Tower (Business Bay, Dubai): A stunning residential tower featuring high-end apartments and villas.

This ECI contract with Omniyat encompasses a two-stage approach involving comprehensive collaboration with the Client and their designers, from schematic to detailed design phases.

During the design stage, BESIX will meticulously prepare the methodology, procurement schedule, and master program, enabling a swift commencement of construction activities. Our commitment extends to providing detailed pricing for the project throughout the design stages, ensuring a transparent and mutually beneficial partnership.

Marassi Bay Marina (South Island, Dubai): Marine project encompassing an impressive area of 26,000 square meters within the Dubai Canal.

This ECI contract will involve BESIX's input from the feasibility study stage to detailed design, emphasizing close collaboration with the Client and their designers. Our comprehensive involvement in every stage of project development underscores our dedication to creating successful partnerships.

Sea Palace Marine Works (Abu Dhabi): Reclamation and marine edge works.

The final stage of ECI (price proposal for full Design & Build contract) is ongoing and expected to be concluded within the coming week in an attempt to conclude and sign a Design & Build contract before the end of 2023.

Additionally, Early Works have commenced on the Sea Palace Marine Works covering marine studies and surveys, Basis of Design, Design concept Report & Drawings, Specifications, and Preliminary Environmental Report all of which have been completed and approved by the Client. These works are progressing as per planning, within budget and to the satisfaction of the Client.

We look forward to the exciting journey ahead as we deliver the excellence and value engineering we are known for. We continue to set new benchmarks and create lasting legacies in the Middle East construction landscape and are confident that, together, we will turn these ambitions into a remarkable reality.
