Since the start of the school year in September 2024, the pitch of the Cocody Rugby Abidjan Club (CRAC) has been fully illuminated thanks to the help from the local BESIX and Bouygues TP teams. Located near the Lycée Classique d'Abidjan secondary school, this is an important milestone for the club, as they were forced to conclude trainings once it got dark outside. Thanks to the new lighting, the CRAC players can now safely practice until late in the evening, and fans can continue their support.
This project is a fine example of successful collaboration: while the rugby club financed the materials, BESIX provided its heavy equipment (backhoe loader and truck crane) and Bouygues mobilised its electricians to install the lighting.
At BESIX, we are commited to development the local communities around our construction projects, for example by supporting its sports activities and by creating a safe and inspiring environment for all young rugby players and fans in Abidjan.
