BESIX, in partnership with Equans, successfully handed over phase 1A and 1B of a cutting-edge 40MVA data centre in Neder-Over-Heembeek to KevlinX, marking the completion of this Design & Build project.
Taking-Over certificate secured
On 2 December 2025, BESIX and Equans received the Taking-Over certificate for the new 40MVA data centre in Neder-Over-Heembeek (Belgium), following a site tour and final wrap-up meeting. This state-of-the-art facility, designed and built by BESIX and Equans, has now been officially handed over to KevlinX, a leading provider of high-performance data centres for large-scale enterprises, governments, and cloud companies.
The timely completion of this project highlights the professionalism and commitment shown by everyone involved. A collaborative effort
The successful delivery of the KevlinX data centre reflects the effective collaboration between all stakeholders. BESIX was responsible for the civil, structural and architectural works, including the decontamination of the site. Meanwhile, Equans managed the design and installation of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The facility was built to meet the rigorous Tier III standards set by the Uptime Institute, ensuring robust reliability and resilience. Redundant systems have been put in place to guarantee uninterrupted operations, even during maintenance.
