It’s been three weeks since the 7th edition of BESIX CleanUp Day took place. 3,353 colleagues participating across the globe, collecting 8.1 tonnes of litter in their environment. That is the fantastic balance. A big thank you to all the participants! Because of your actions, the world is now a cleaner and safer place.
In addition to the day itself, we launched a photo competition where you could vote for your favourite picture over the past few weeks. Now, the votes have been counted and we have a winner... Congratulations to the BESIX Middle East team at Sohar Port in Oman!

BESIX Foundation will now donate a 2,500 EUR check to the charity of the winning team’s choice: Environment Society of Oman (ESO), a non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection and preservation of the country’s natural environment. Some of their initiatives include:
- Marine and coastal conservation projects, focusing on turtle nesting, dolphin monitoring, and coral reef protection
- Biodiversity and wildlife programs, promoting research and awareness about endangered species across Oman
- Environmental education and awareness campaigns, encouraging sustainable practices among youth, schools, and communities
