We’re pleased to share a significant achievement on the Aramco Stadium project: the roof has now been successfully depropped!
In practical terms, this means the temporary supports have been removed and the structure is officially self-standing and self-supporting. As in any complex engineering build, this is a defining moment and one we can all proudly celebrate.

This milestone is the result of months of rigorous planning and precise coordination. From engineering and site supervision to safety and construction teams, all teams involved played a vital role in reaching this stage safely and on schedule. With the roof now standing on its own, we enter the next chapter for the stadium’s completion, which comprises of the installation of roof cladding.
Congratulations to all teams on this accomplishment. Our collective technical excellence continues to bring Aramco Stadium one step closer to becoming a flagship venue for the region.
Located in Khobar (Saudi Arabia), the Aramco Stadium is designed to seat approximately 47,000 spectators and aligns with Saudi Arabia's vision of excellence in sports infrastructure and community engagement. BESIX Middle East is constructing this landmark project in partnership with Albawani on behalf of Aramco. It is set to be completed in 2026, just in time for the 2027 Asian Football Confederation Cup.
