Dear colleague,
We are making some changes to further improve the security of our IT environment. As from Thursday 21 September, you will be obligated to install Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to further secure your account.
You will be automatically prompted to install MFA on your computer/laptop as from Thursday 21 September. All steps to install MFA are carefully explained in the document attached. Read it attentively and follow each step.
We recommend printing this document and keeping it handy for when you are prompted to install MFA.
If you do not install MFA when prompted, you will not be able to continue using the Microsoft 365-Apps.
Why does Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) help make our environment more secure?
MFA is a method in which you have to successfully complete at least two steps before being granted access to the Microsoft environment. The first step is simply to fill in your username and password. The second step goes via the Authenticator App on your smartphone or via SMS. This helps Microsoft to ensure that you are you and defends against hackers who have obtained your password in any way to break into our IT environment.
If you have questions about the steps attached or about installing MFA, contact the IT Service Desk.
Thank you for your collaboration.
