Week of 17 November

1. Update from Tanga (Tanzania)

At the Tanga jetty project on Tanzania’s north coast, our team has been making great progress recently. Last week, they successfully installed the EITS* building for the jetty, a critical lift that required precision and teamwork from our lifting team. In addition, the final trestle is now in place, meaning all trusses have been installed from the load-out facilities to the abutment. Impressive, team!

2. Making headway in Copenhagen (Denmark)

Work on the 1.4‑kilometre Nordhavn Tunnel in Copenhagen (Denmark) is moving full steam ahead. The teams are working round the clock on one of the most challenging sections: the Kalkbrænderiløbet area. This phase brings together expertise in earthworks, ground engineering, concrete and marine works. From excavating deep into limestone to controlling groundwater and casting the tunnel structure, every discipline plays a vital role in making it happen. Keep up the good work, team!

3. Counting down to the big day (UAE)

Ahead of its December opening, our Group CEO Pierre Sironval visited the Zayed National Museum for a final look, describing it as “a true masterpiece”. Located in the Saadiyat Cultural District, the museum will honour the UAE’s founding father and rich heritage through six permanent galleries, a temporary exhibition space and a 600‑metre outdoor gallery. Its striking design, inspired by the wings of a falcon, reflects an emblem of Emirati culture.

4. Wust inaugurates new police station (Belgium)

On 7 November, Wust celebrated the inauguration of the new police station in La Louvière. The project transformed former train station buildings in just two years, creating a modern and secure workplace for 150 officers. The facility includes individual cells, hearing rooms and dedicated parking for police vehicles. A ticket office and waiting room have also been retained, preserving the site’s original function. Congratulations, colleagues!
