Week of 31 July

1. Positive momentum in Doha (Qatar)

We're excited to share this recent photo of the Lusail Towers with you. We find the design of these towers to be simply mesmerizing. As you know, we have the Core & Shell responsibilities on two of the four towers and the podium. The Shell was completed before the World Cup, and our colleagues are now finalizing the Core. Flooring and wall cladding activities inside the two 50-storey towers are keeping our teams busy. We're happy to report that finishing work is progressing steadily, with a significant increase in interior activities over the summer.

Good luck to everyone involved in this project!

2. Community engagement in Brisbane (Australia)

Our colleagues in Australia have a delightful habit of naming their cranes. In order to connect with the community around their project site, they often organize a "Name the Crane" contest with the closest school. This is what just happened on the Kangaroo Point Green Bridge project site (Brisbane), where the world's largest lifting capacity tower crane was named "Picky Upy" by school student Sari. Our colleagues were delighted to host Sari and her family on site for the official naming!

We're always looking for new and creative ways to connect with the communities where we work. If you have a crane naming story to share, please reach out to us. We'd love to hear it!

3. Reopening ahead of schedule in Huccorgne (Belgium)

The rehabilitation of the Huccorgne Viaduct, located on the E42/A15 motorway between Liège and Namur in Belgium, has been substantially completed. The full reopening of the motorway on three lanes in both directions is effective since Sunday 30 July.

The rehabilitation project included the replacement of the beams, the deck, and the support structure, as well as new waterproofing and surfacing on the total length of the 547 m-long, 60 m-high viaduct. We are proud to say that our teams finished slightly ahead of schedule. Congrats to all colleagues involved!

4. Fluid traffic in Dubai (UAE)

Congratulations as well to our colleagues on the Shindagha Corridor Improvement project! The recent opening of two flyover bridges (with six lanes in each direction!), a one-lane ramp, and a two-lane tunnel in the Shindagha district is a major milestone in this important project. The project was executed in five phases over more than three years, while minimizing disruption to traffic flow. This was a significant challenge, but the team was able to overcome it thanks to their dedication and expertise. Well done!

And then this… Thank you!

Here are all the recipient of the Long Service Award in Qatar, who recently celebrated many years of presence in our Group. We congratulate every single one of them! Their unwavering dedication, passion, and expertise have made a significant impact on our organisation, and we are profoundly grateful for their invaluable contributions. Thank you!
