It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our colleague Gabriel Martin.
After battling illness, Gabriel died surrounded by his loved ones in his home country, Spain.
A true expatriate at heart, he lived many adventures across the world. Sadly, illness brought his journey to an abrupt stop while he was still actively working on our Portonave project in Brazil.
Gabriel joined BESIX during the Cameroon venture in Nachtigal. We were all touched by his remarkable humanity. As Administrative & Financial Director, he was always there for others, attentive, professional, and respectful.
He later joined the Brazil team on the Portonave project. Open-minded and deeply committed to multiculturalism, he played an active role in helping local teams embrace the BESIX culture.
Deeply appreciated by all, his passing had already come as a shock to his colleagues in Brazil.
Our heartfelt thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
