BESIX Group has been awarded the prestigious Top Employer Award for 2025 by the Top Employers Institute. This marks the sixth consecutive year that BESIX has received this recognition.
The Top Employer certification shows that BESIX is all about creating a great workplace where people can grow, learn, and succeed. The certification applies to BESIX Group, BESIX NV, BESIX RED, BESIX STAY and Flamant. BESIX has reached an impressive score of 90.65%, about 5.7% above the Top Employer benchmark. BESIX Nederland was also awarded the same certification for the second year in a row, while improving their score year-on-year.
The label was awarded after an in-depth survey of BESIX’s HR and people practices, covering six HR domains and consisting of 20 topics including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Wellbeing.
“From how we hire and train, to how we promote diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing, every part of our people strategy was put under the microscope—and we passed with flying colours. This award reflects all the initiatives we have implemented to create a welcoming, positive, and supportive environment for our people,” says Geert Aelbrecht, Chief People Officer and Group Sustainability & ESG Officer.
Over the years, BESIX has consistently demonstrated its commitment to develop a positive and inclusive workplace culture. “Since first receiving the Top Employer certification in 2020, we’ve worked hard to keep raising the bar. This year’s award is the recognition of our steadfast people strategy and our efforts to create a respectful and caring work environment.”
“We’re so proud to once again be recognised as one of the best places to work in Belgium and beyond,” adds Geert Aelbrecht. “This award is for everyone who makes BESIX a great place to be. Together, we’ll keep creating a space where everyone has the chance to grow, succeed, and feel valued.”
The journey to make BESIX a great place to work does not end here. Future focus areas encompass implementing a new training platform and other tools, sustainability and diversity initiatives, as well as continued efforts to remain attractive and competitive in the job market.
