A-STAY, the brand new city stay experience, started construction on its Moldova site. Yesterday the first brick was laid in the capital Chisinau, which is, along with Antwerp, the second location of the city stay solution by BESIX STAY holding, formed by A-Star Group and BESIX Group.
A-STAY wants visitors to indulge completely in the places they’re visiting - through online and offline connections to locals and their city. Concretely, the creators offer studios to expats, millennials, business travellers and tourists. Thanks to an in-house developed A-STAY application and a variety of facilities, guests will be able to fully steer and control their stay.
Just like in all A-STAY locations, A-STAY Chisinau is also located in the buzzling center, both physically and digitally. The first brick was laid on the historic site of Columna 90. The project will combine the charm of the existing building with a completely newly built modern part. Moreover, it will be the first BREAAM certified building in Moldova. The BREEAM or ‘Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method’ is of great importance to the project, as sustainability and innovation are two of A-STAY’s main values.
With this first milestone, the innovative concept is one step closer to its ambition of building 7000 rooms over the next 5 years. In the end of 2020, 174 studio's will be opening their doors in Chisinau. The 3rd opening will be A-STAY Brussels (Diegem), at the beginning of 2021.
